Welcome to summer! (with a small freebie)

No matter what the calendar says, we all know today starts summer. No more teaching, no more school. Just me and the kids hanging out by the pool. (Oh, I guess Dan still has to work. Oopsie.)

Anyway, I just wanted to give you a heads up that somewhere in the next two months, we're off on our big trip to Florida. You should not see a difference in this blog because I tend to write content ahead and you'll have posts as usual. Also continuing as usual will be my biweely freebie posts. I have some really fun things coming this summer that I think you'll love.

I'll still be updating here most days, so let's have a fun summer together! Here's to a summer filled with Pinterest recipes and crafts, long days and cold water, and magic. Most of all, magic.

journal card freebie: with a magical twist

As you may know, I have great plans for scrapbooking our Florida trip. To this end, I've felt a little inspired. Saturday I found myself sitting with Photoshop Elements open, creating journal cards I wanted to use in my album.

I was inspired by this video: Project Life: Disney edition

Some really great ideas in there, and it had me thinking about what I wanted to do.

This, readers, is what I wanted to do:

Those aren't actually my colors or even all the cards I created but I thought I'd package up the basics and see if anyone was interested in downloading them. Not sure there's a huge demand for journaling cards out there, but I'd made them, so I might as well share, right?
