Mother Nature and a certain groundhog are rolling with laughter. We have not had any snow days in two years. It's been so dry here that we were in a drought.
Last week, we got 14". As if that wasn't enough, we got hit with another 8" earlier this week. It seriously snowed Thursday into Friday -- snow days both days -- we had Saturday and Sunday with fairly sunny barely above freezing days, and then it snowed on and off all day Monday and Monday night. Two more snow days. If you're counting, that's four snow days in a row. And last week we didn't have school in my district either Monday or Tuesday due to President's Day and then an inservice.
I'm certainly not complaining about all the snow days. I literally made myself sick a few times thinking about needing to drive in the mess on the streets. I'd rather stay home and be safe. But four days in a row? Not my favorite. I ended up starting a new walking routine on the treadmill (I get so bored while working out... I have such adult ADD), doing laundry, reading 3 books, annoying Hayden because he was trying to nap... you get the picture.
Here's a look into snow days around our house:
Notice the dust on the treadmill... yeah, not my favorite piece of furniture.
Our outdoor cat, who has been indoors for the winter. He's not happy.
The girls made french toast on Tuesday morning. Brady still had to go to college. Can you tell?
