My biggest fear going into December Daily this year was that I was doing it all digital and I worried that I wouldn't actually finish and get it printed.
I'm proud to say that I was wrong. Not only did I finish (through the 25th... that's all I do traditionally), but I had the book printed and back in my hands before the end of 2011.
Just as a refresher, I had used Nettio Designs' Holiday Faves album as the building blocks for my album. I ended up using her cover and a few of her filler pages just to make it flow nicely. The daily pages ended up being my own creation and the photo pages were altered from templates available in my Family: Defined class. I resized everything to 6x9. I have no idea why I picked that size. I guess it just seemed like the right size. Not too small, not too big.
After completing my pages, I turned them into .pdf files and uploaded them to Viovio. I'd never used this company but I'd read a review on Nettio's blog and thought I'd give them a try. They offered exactly what I wanted... a 6x9 soft cover book. I uploaded and ordered first thing Tuesday morning (the 27th), and the book was at my house on the 31st. I don't know if they're always that fast or if they had a post-holiday lull, but that's how fast it was.
I am thrilled with my book. It's perfect and exactly what I expected. All of my family took turns reading through it (and of course made their own editorial comments about it). It's a keepsake.
And here's some photos of the finished book:
Love Viovio. Will definitely be using them for my vacation book this summer...
