Template Thursday

A little freebie for you today...

Thanks so much to my 2 guest artists this week. Here's 2 from Greta, who really did some fun stuff with color on these layouts:
Greta says: A picture of my daughter and my mom at a parade last weekend. Journaling reads: So sweet, the love between a grandma and her granddaughter. Josie just loves, loves, loves Grammy MarBar. When she sees Grammy, she runs with her arms wide open screaming, “Grammy!” I know it feels awesome to be the recipient of that kind of adoration. While I’m sometimes sad that my children only have one grandparent, at the same time I do realize what a huge blessing that one grandparent is. I mean, who else can take them to a movie, go swimming, make a picnic lunch, go shopping, stop for ice cream, treat them to a carnival -- and often, all in the same day?

Here's a picture I love of my four daughters. While I almost always journal on layouts, for this one I just wanted to dress up the picture. This template let the picture stand out while letting me use some fun coordinating papers to help it pop.

Credits: Papers & ribbon from Ashley Olson (AshScraps) All Star kit. Title font is Century Schoolbook. Journaling font is Pea Stefanieva. Dresses by Target (ha!).

Daphne says: I used Kay Miller's Blue Lagoon.  The alpha is Tracy Reed's School Time Alpha at Scrapbookgraphics.  The Sunshine is from Carrie Stephens Vivacious kit, also at Scrapbookgraphics. The font is Amienne.  I modified the template slightly - I blurred the photo into the background, since my colors weren't really working for a hard line between the pic and the background.  I also did away with the smaller second paper block behind the picture and removed the narrow horizontal paper block and added the ribbon instead.

For this one, I used some fun Dani Mogstad stuff. In case you missed it, I made my new blog header with the same kit, which won me a $15 gift card to Dani's store. Check it out here!

I also got really lucky this week and got to help Jessica Gorny fine tune her "Photo-graph" action for PSE. I used it on this photo, and plan to use it again... often. I just think it is one cool look for a photo. You can check the action out here. It's only $2.50! Gotta have it at that price!
