Right back at ya...
With a little yeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww.
OK, that's a little inside joke. But I promised I'd blog about the Haygoods, so I'm choosing Tim, the oldest of the Haygoods, as my eye candy of the week.
Most of you probably don't know Tim. And that's OK. You can still look at him over there. He's not bad on the eyes at all. He may not have the muscles of his brothers. May not have the charisma and out-there personalities of his younger siblings, but he's solid. And ya gotta like that. I am all about solid.
That's one of my favorite Haygoods photos. And I have bunches. In fact, let's just say it's in my top two of Haygoods photos. I just think it captures that moment in the show so beautifully. The show is so full of energy and excitement, and that's one of the few moments where you can just sit and reflect and enjoy. In that moment, you can see Tim's joy in the instrument, as if that was what he was meant to do.
Tim's just a great guy. (OK, so I don't really know Tim. We've exchanged emails a few times. But I've never actually spoken to him. Cuz I think he hides when he knows I'm at the show. Can't say I blame him. Sometimes I scare myself. Mostly I amuse myself.)
Tim's desire to learn violin started it all. And now he's out there, promoting the show, holding it all together, and keeping his brothers in line. Oh, and he does all their tap choreography, and let me tell you, those boys can tap. I'm happy to make him my first Haygood Eye Candy of the Week. Still 6 brothers to go.
So there's Tim for ya. Enjoy him. Cuz next week's eye candy is going to be up for 3 weeks. I do promise to get back to CSI, but next week will be a special eye candy (and I promise no Haygoods for another month).
In other news....
-- Went back to the eye dr. on Monday. My eyes are so dry that the toric had dried out and turned on my eye causing my vision to suck. He said it would pretty much happen with any toric we tried. So I just put in a regular contact and we'll try that. Makes text a little blurry, but it's not nearly as bad as life was with the rotated toric. And it's much, much more comfortable. I'm working on the dry eyes problem. I take 3 meds a day and all three of them have a side effect of causing dry eyes. So unless I make some changes, I'll never be a daily contact wearer. More of a recreational contact wearer.
But I can wear them when I go to see the Haygoods. And I can wear them to ride the roller coasters. I can even wear them when teaching 2 or 3 days a week.
--Well, pooh. I wrote a nice, long post about my job and it just disappeared in cyberspace. Long story short... I'll be teaching pre-K next year. 2 regular pre-K classrooms with special education students fully included, and I'll be serving the special ed students within those regular pre-K rooms. No classroom for me. If I'm lucky, I'll have a desk. Or a shelf. I'd take that. I'm very excited, though. I love the little ones.
--- Still fumbling with Disney plans. They're getting more solid, but there's still one day where I'm not completely sure where we'll be eating... Tony's Town Square and Italian for dinner? Or 1900 Park Fare and Mary Poppins for brunch? OK, we're not eating Mary Poppins, but she's there at brunch. Any Disney vets out there (Bay?) who want to give an opinion? It's a Magic Kingdom day, our 3rd of the trip (3rd of 4 total). Brunch is 11:10 am. Tony's is 5 something. Can't do both. I'd tell you which one I want, but I don't want to influence the jury. Cuz Dan wants the other one. (And yes, we're already doing every other restaurant in the MK area. Almost.)
I've got a freebie for tomorrow and I'll have to start looking for a video for Friday. In the meantime, here's me with contacts:
Love the eye candy...and the yeeee haaaawwww...well, it's a lot funnier when you get it ;) and I do...thanks for making me laugh ;)

You look so good. I am hopeless - tried contacts years ago but am just too lazy and can't stand the gritty feeling I got.
Congrats on getting the little kids! That will be a fun year!
