Friday video
It's Woo Hoo Friday! I only have one more Friday with kids! Another Friday will be spent packing up my classroom. And the next Friday, I'll be at Walt Disney World, soaking up some sun at Typhoon Lagoon.
On Tuesday, I went on the Kindergarten field trip to the zoo. It was way fun. Not really. A lot went wrong in the details. The kids had fun, though, and I kept my game face on. And while I was sitting on that big yellow school bus, traveling to and from the zoo, the thought that kept going through my mind was "the next time I'm on a bus, I'll be at Walt Disney World." That got me through it.
So I was looking for a video to share today, because it's Friday and Friday is where I share videos. Since I'm in a Disney mood, you're getting this one. It will be our first ride at the parks. It may scare the poopy-kaka out of Chesney, and I may spend the rest of the trip regretting it. However, I suggested that Ches and I sit out the ride, and she would have none of that. No, if her sister and brother are riding it first, she's riding it, too. I am really excited about riding it. If it goes well -- if we come off excited and ready to ride it again -- it's a good sign for a great trip ahead. I won't even think about what it means if we come off and the kids want to run and ride Dumbo 30 times in a row. So here it is...
Hi Kim! I've happened across your blog through scrapping friends. I am also a teacher(k), a mom(2 great girls) and love disney! We visited in Nov. for the 1st time and we are hooked!! We rode EE and loved it. My 8yo is sitting here watching the video with me, reliving it, "oh-I remember that.how could I forget that?"
I really enjoy "peeking" in on you, as you seem like someone I've known for a long time.
I also love Branson and am blessed to live only 30 minutes away:)
Thanks for sharing!

Kim, you'll love EE -- it's a hoot! I just hope you get there late enough to spend a couple of minutes in the queue, which is, of course, completely filled with too many details to love.
... And I have to confess that although I never suffer from motion sickness, one day we rode EE back to back -- I mean, literally, we grabbed FP's, went through the standby, rode, got off, and got in the FP line. So it was two rides in a row. And that second ride? OK, maybe I shouldn't have eaten so much at Chef Mickey's that morning.... ;)
But otherwise, we all loved Expedition Everest! I hope your kids have fun on it, too!

Oops -- forgot to mention --
*But*... my favorite newish attraction at WDW is Soarin'. *Love it*. Love it, love it, love it. I cry on Soarin' -- tears of pure happiness.
So if the kids don't like EE, maybe they'll let you ride Soarin' 84 times in a row! :D
