- I think this may be the saddest week in recent American history. Since I've been an adult, we've had Waco, the Columbine shootings, the Oklahoma City bombing and now the VA Tech shootings all occur within a week of each other. Obviously not in the same year, but it just seems we keep adding more and more devastation during this week.
- I remember this week because April 19 was my high school best friend's birthday. And on that same date in 1994, I had a sonogram where I discovered the baby I was carrying would be a boy. I was shocked. I could not be having a boy. I didn't know anything about boys. Um, still don't. He's a creature unlike any other.
- I keep falling asleep during the last 15 minutes of my CSIs. It's driving me crazy.
- Thanks much to Miss Theresa, who helped me realized that I'm not losing my mind. My gray hair is out of control. I'm planning to dye for summer on April 30, but I was ticked because I was just certain that my last dye job was right before Spring Break. The gray is too rampant to have only been covered 4 weeks ago. Miss Theresa, who shares a classroom with me at work, pointed out that I actually dyed it right at the end of January, before my BILs wedding. So it is really about time to dye. I think I may do it this weekend. It'll still be there for Disney and I can dye again before my birthday. I often wonder what I'd do without Miss Theresa, the Thelma to my Louise.

- Dan is driving me crazy with the playing games thing. My sister got him hooked on "Dream Day Wedding." Does that sound like a game a man with gray hair (not dyed) should be playing?
- Just wanted to say that I am exercising every day. Walking a mile and a half, at least, and sometimes double that. Maintaining my weight. And that's about it. Cuz I am borderline depressed and the ice cream is just darn good. I figure if a bowl of Chocolate Almond helps keep the headaches at bay and my mood elevated, well, that's just what I'm going to do.
- Have you noticed I haven't mentioned the H-word this week? I haven't listened to them either. I'm taking a break from that particular family for a bit. OK, so I called and changed our seats to the front row for my birthday trip. So I'm not exactly boycotting them. I am trying to take a break, though. However, if they were to email me and beg me to go back to blogging about them, I'd probably change my mind. Lucky for my regular blog readers, they're not reading, so you should get a few more weeks of me not mentioning them.
- Thanks to all who downloaded my template yesterday and left comments. I read every comment you post, and they are always appreciated.
- Finally, check this out:
So much of what you commented on today has been on my mind too. I was just telling DH yesterday about how my spring break from school always seems to be feeled with tragic happenings in America. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
