Wednesday
I don't want to seem insensitive to the whole VA tragedy. My heart goes out to those who are touched by it, both personally and through the media. But I hope you'll understand my own need to go on with everyday life. And everyday blogging.
-----
Since it's Wednesday, I should introduce this week's Eye Candy of the Week. John Cusack. Is there a better actor of my generation? I think not.
I first fell for John in 1986, watching The Sure Thing with my sister. It was the day the Challenger exploded, or very near in time. I have a freakish memory.
Anyway, I love that movie. In fact, I now own it on DVD. "Just for pleasure!" One of the great movies of my adolescence. In fact, writing about The Sure Thing brings to mind an excellent article I read recently in Entertainment Weekly. Titled Virgin Territory it compares the teen movies of my youth with the movies of today. Very good article, and made me so nostalgic. In fact, linking that article puts me in the mood to watch Porky's again. When the kids are in bed, of course.
Back to John Cusack... an excellent actor. I love Identity -- if you haven't seen that one, you should. Very good, very freaky. And Serendipity... such a great love story. In general, I don't like Chick Flicks. I'm more of an action movie or comedy kind of person. But Serendipity is really good.
Now I know someone is going to comment and say, "But Kim, you didn't mention Say Anything!" Nope, I didn't. Cuz I've never seen it. Not a chick flick person, and that's how that movie always felt to me. Sorry.
Oh my gosh, I almost forgot one of my all-time favorites. High Fidelity. What a great movie. And has the bonus of Jack Black in a cameo.
Anyway, there he is... John Cusack. Second Eye Candy of the Week. Something tells me that 20 years from now, when I'm still writing this blog and posting eye candy, he'll still be acting and making me swoon.
My heart beats for John Cusack.... my hubby is so jealous of him, LOL! Every movie that comes out with him in it IS MINE!!! So dreamy! Loved him as a teen and now...gets better and better. I just hope he looks as good as Sean Connery as he ages(Sean has the voice too though). Those are my two men.... oh yeah!

That's so funny! I posted about John C. on my blog this week too... Gross Pointe Blank was on the other night and reminded me (again!) how in love with him I am.
He just does it for me! :)
Thanks for the eye candy!
