did a little shopping

I am challenging myself to not spend any money on digi-scrap stuff for the next month.

However, I give myself a pass on Thursdays at the Digi Chick and on Saturdays at Sweet Shoppe, because you know you get a good discount if you buy on release day.

And I also give my pass if anything on my "kits to be bought" list goes on sale, especially this kit by DebF.

So basically, I'm on a shopping freeze unless something really good comes up.

Oh man, I make myself laugh.

Anyway, thought I'd share some of the fun goodies I picked up in the last week or so.

Wild Rumpus by Andrea Burns. This just screams fun and color and I knew when I saw it, I'd have to have it. Could barely wait for it to go on sale. The beads, the fun colors... I've already used it once and I plan to use it again. Often.

Lots of templates by Janet Phillips. I'm starting to pick up multi-photo, one page templates. I'm thinking ahead to when I'm going to have tons of Disney photos to scrap. I have great plans to spend my summer putting together a little Disney album that I can actually have printed. However, I will probably do so many pages, that the darn thing will be bigger than a Stephen King novel.

Then I discovered Nitwit Collections. I knew Mary Fran, whose layouts I used to love when I first started digi-scrapping, had started designing, but I hadn't really browsed her shop before. I was thrilled to find Kay Miller there. I'd been looking for Kay. I was once a member of Kay's creative team, and I thought Kay was just a great gal and terrific designer. Kay was one of my first designer crushes -- I adore her cute and comfy style. And boy, doesn't it fit well with Mary Fran's stuff?!? I went a little bit crazy over at Nitwit. Their stuff just fits so well with a little album I'm working on, and some of it, well, I just needed it. But it was after this purchase that I knew it was time to take a break. For the record, here's what I got:

I also bought The Digi Shoppe sampler (worth the price just for the templates alone), and got a bunch of fun stuff from Melanie Colosimo, who asked me to be on her new creative team! You can check her out here . Speaking of templates, she's got some great ones. Here's one I posted yesterday, using her Leave A Trail template. You know I find it hard not to use at least one big photo, so I just made the background the photo for this one. I love that she includes enough white space that I can get away with that. Thanks again to Melanie for making my day and asking me to be a part of the team!

 

I actually wrote this post a few days ago, saving it for Wednesday because Wednesday mornings are Cray-Zee at my house. So I have to come back and point out that if you don't pick up this amazing deal from Nancy Comelab... well, you're really missing a great deal. I love Nancy's photo clusters. I plan on using them when doing my Disney album, too. They are just amazing, and if you hurry, you can get them at a ridiculous price.  Buy them. Now! What are you waiting for?

Well, I was trying to limit my spending, too... but I couldn't pass up those Nancy Comelab clusters! They are great! Thanks for enabling! And love the SDC pics... we are hoping to head back up in June or July this year... and for SURE in the fall. Have a great rest of your week!

I'm slightly embarassed to say how many of those kits I already have. Want to know how many I've used? Zip, zero, zilch, nada. I shop and shop and shop. If I didn't think I'd go insane, I'd wish for my internet to go down for a few days so I would scrap instead of shop. LOL
