Four weeks from today, and we'll be in Branson. In a condo, with 2 king size beds. And a jacuzzi tub. I can not wait.
Oh yeah, and four weeks from tonight, I'll be going to see my boys. I'm already stressing about what to wear. Because I know it will really matter to them. I know they'll be on stage, looking out at the audience and think, "I know that woman there has spent the last 4 weeks trying to select an outfit for tonight." Yeah, it'll happen.
Dan and I celebrated 18 years together on Sunday. It just slipped right past me. But I'm still making him take me to Applebee's for a belated celebration sometime soon. Maybe tonight, because they have 99 cent kids meals.
Brady only has another 3 months to eat off kids' menus. That just cannot be possible.
Any more than it can be possible that I've been with my husband for 18 years. I was 18 when we started dating, so I guess I've officially been with him as long as I've been without him. I won't say it's all been sweetness and light, but we're strong now, and that's what counts.
Paid off our Disney trip yesterday. Yup, that one feels really sweet.
Lots and lots of sick kids around... both at work and at the kids' schools. In fact, Ches was running a fever last night.
In further fact, I really haven't felt well the last 2 days. I've been going to bed by 9 pm because I'm so tired and weak. I keep thinking I can push through it. And Ches is crying because she feels so bad. But no fever, so what's a mom to do? I really need to go teach the first 90 minutes of the day. It's a tricky lesson and I'd hate to leave it for a sub. We're going to try it. I might be home early.
I rejoined Booksfree this week. They sent me an offer for 1/2 off my first month. And I'm really in need of some reading material. One of the girls' favorite things to do is for us all to get books, climb on my bed and read together. Well, not together as in all reading the same book, but together as in all in the same place, reading at the same time. Chesney has just about gone through the entire Junie B Jones series and Mykiah is big on Andrew Clements. Mykiah has a book fair at her school this weekend, so I suppose I'll be checking it out. Next to digi-scrapping goodies, books are my big budget buster. We just have books piled everywhere in this house. My bookcase is busting, the girls' bookcase is overflowing. I love it.
Gosh, are you ready for me to shut up or what? This is what happens when I skip a day of blogging.
Here's my two layouts from the last 2 days. Credits are here and here.
