Freebie Friday

I have the feeling it's going to be a long day.

Before I get to the freebie, I have a little update on my Hayden. We went to the vet yesterday and had his bloodwork done. It was all well within normal limits. The vet said that if a young dog has a relapse from a kidney episode like Hayden had, it will usually be within the 2 weeks directly following it. Hayden is now officially a healthy dog, although on a prescription diet, and all we have to do is go back for bloodwork once a year. We're pretty happy with that.

The original plan for this weekend was that we were going to spend Sunday afternoon with my in-laws. Given that I woke up this morning to hear "near blizzard conditions when you wake up on Sunday", I'm thinking that's not going to happen. I like my in-laws, but not enough to brave a blizzard just for lunch.

Anyway, in anticipation of that event, I did this layout:

Elements are by Poppy Andrews, from her Funky Junk kit. White is by Karen Hunt. Fonts are Super Snorty Laughter and AL HIghlight. Atomic Cupcake Chipboard effect, Virtual Photographer photo effects, and Traci Murphy drop shadows.

I took this picture the afternoon of my brother-in-law's wedding. We spent an hour or more at the wedding venue, and I was just going crazy taking pictures. My MIL was sitting in this chair, so I had my FIL get down close. I'm not really happy with some of the technical aspects of it (the glare on my FIL glasses drives me crazy), but I think it's a good representation of them. They've had a really challenging year, and are still very solid in their relationship. It's been interesting to watch.

I've got this template ready for download, too. It's an 8.5x11 adaptation of a template I offered 2 weeks ago. I was an 8.5x11 scrapper for years before I went digital (4 year paper scrapper before switching over), so I thought I should offer my templates in both sizes.
