double digits
Considering that when I started planning this trip, we were over 300 days away from our departure day, being at 98 days was a cause for celebration at our house.
Yesterday was our big 99 day/Double Digit party. We went out for lunch... it was just Schlotzky's, but we got out of the house and it was good. Then we went to the mall. I had seen some capris I wanted at Old Navy online, so I wanted to check them out in the store. I'll wait for a sale. They were OK, but I have a hard time spending $30 on capris.
Then it was on to The Disney Store. I had told the kids they could each buy something, and it was a hard decision for Ches. She had 2 stuffed beanies, then she saw a stuffed Stitch that came with his own house. Decisions, decisions. While she was deliberating, Brady found 2 t-shirts, Mykiah found one and I found a Peter Pan shirt I just had to have. I love Peter Pan! So excited that the DVD will be rereleased soon. Yeah, I'll be buying it.
That was pretty much the extent of our big celebration. Ches carried Stitch everywhere with her for the rest of the day, Brady played outside, and Mykiah played with friends. For the first time in months, it was warm enough that Dan and I could take a walk. When it's nice, we walk daily and we've really missed it. I was so excited to actually get out and walk!
The kids and I are off today, so we're just sitting and relaxing. I've done 4 layouts. It's been so long since I've scrapped that I totally forgot to add drop shadows to the first 2. Had to go back and fix it when I finally remembered on layout 3.
OK, gotta go do laundry. Almost done... this family sure does go through the clothes!
